Privacy Policy
Ctrl-V Terminal, published by IT WORX ("we", "us").
We keep Ctrl-V Terminal privacy-friendly: it has no analytics, no tracking and no telemetry, and your sessions and passwords stay on your own device. This policy explains the limited data involved when you use the app and buy a license.
Who is responsible

What stays on your device
- Sessions and settings (hostnames, usernames, ports, groups, preferences) are stored locally on your computer, in your user profile. They are never sent to IT WORX.
- Passwords you save are encrypted at rest using your operating system's secure keychain. They never leave your device except to authenticate to the server you connect to.
- Pasted images are uploaded over SFTP to the remote host you are connected to — never to IT WORX.
Data involved when you buy or activate a license
- Payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record). IT WORX does not receive or store your card details. We receive order and customer information (such as your email address and order details) needed to provide and support your license. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for their processing.
- License activation/validation: when you activate or the app periodically re-checks your license, the app sends your license key and a device identifier (your device name) to Lemon Squeezy's license service, so it can enforce the device limit and confirm the license is valid. This is necessary to provide the licensed Software (performance of contract).
Software updates
The app checks for and downloads updates from our public releases repository on GitHub. As with any web request, your IP address is visible to GitHub for that request. No account or personal data is required.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract — license activation, validation and support.
- Legitimate interests — providing secure software and update checks.
Where a legal basis requires it, we rely on your consent, which you may withdraw.
Retention
We keep order and license data for as long as needed to provide your license and to meet legal and tax obligations, then delete or anonymize it.

- Lemon Squeezy — payments and license key management.
- GitHub — hosting of downloads and update files.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact info@it-worx.nl. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
The Software is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version.
